Stocks to Watch Tomorrow 01/26

Today's I've-been-holding-this-little-shit-for-months-and-nothing-and-now-that-I-sell-the-fucker-the-stock-soars micro-cap stock was Overhill Farms, Inc. (AMEX: OFI). The stock jumped nearly 47% today after the company signed a three-year agreement to produce meals for a major national food brand. The agreement is expected to generate sales of approximately $43 million during the first year. The company said it is on track to reach annual revenues of over $200M by Q3, versus the $168.3M reported all of last year. This one could have legs.

Biggies reporting earnings tomorrow include Caterpillar (NYSE: CAT) and Halliburton (NYSE: HAL).

While slow to develop, I still like Rackable Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: RACK) as a bounce play. The stock closed higher today despite the market lashing.

Watch the homies tomorrow. New Home sales are due at 10AMET. Today the group was smacked down on the existing homes number and lousy earnings.

Stocks to Watch Tomorrow 01/18

Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) reported a blow out quarter after the close. EPS was $1.14, versus the consensus of $0.78 and revenue was $7.1 billion versus the consensus of $6.42 billion. After an initial pop (post-halt) the stock is now below the close. Sceptics may point at the lower Mac numbers and guidance that is below the street ($0.54-$0.56, versus the consensus of $0.60). I say the iPod numbers were huge and will lead to higher Mac numbers and guidance was conservative (the company guided Q1 to $0.70-$0.73 and reported $1.14!). The stock looks to have big psychological resistance at $100.

Star Scientific Inc. (Nasdaq: STSI) was today's everyone-knows-we-can-move-this-little-piece-of-crap-on-any-decent-news micro cap stock of note. The company disclosed in an 8-K filing that the presiding judge in its patent infringement lawsuit against RJ Reynolds Tobacco notified the company that decisions on three pending summary judgment motions will be available on the Court's website on Friday, January 19th. The stock closed 30% higher.

IBM (NYSE: IBM) is reporting earnings after the close tomorrow and will be the one to watch. Also look for Continental Air (NYSE: CAL), Harley-Davidson (NYSE: HOG) and Merrill Lynch (NYSE: MER) (all before the open)

The big loser today was Rackable Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: RACK), down an astonishing 38% after warning on earnings. We will have to be on the look-out for a dead-cat bounce here.

Stocks to Watch Tomorrow 01/17

Earnings season is kicking into high gear again: Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL) is the big one tomorrow, but here are some others to watch AMR Corp (NYSE: AMR), Charles Schwab (Nasdaq: SCHW), JP Morgan (NYSE: JPM) and Lam Research (Nasdaq: LRCX).

Intel (Nasdaq: INTC) reported solid numbers and guidance after the close but the stock is taking it on the chin to the tune of 3% after-hours. Margins weren't the best and the company ran-up ahead of the results.

Highway Holdings Ltd. (Nasdaq: HIHO) was today's It-doesn't-matter-what-it-does-they-are-based-in-China micro-cap winner. The stock jumped 22% on news of US contract, althought no terms were announced (when the press release costs more than the contract is worth I guess you don't have to disclose it). HIHO has made it on our list before.

Rackable Systems Inc. (Nasdaq: RACK) is getting "racked"after-hours after warning for EPS. OUCH! Stock down 24%

Telik Inc. (Nasdaq: TELK) is getting a boost on the Icahn-effect after-hours. Icahn raised his stake from 1.5 million shares to 5.2 million shares (9.92%). NOTE: TELK was hammered in late December after reporting disappointing late-stage trial data.
